How it Works
The weBoost Connect 4G system uses a yagi directional outside antenna that's typically mounted to a pole (not included), at or above the roofline of your home or office, so it can pick up the strongest existing cell signal in your area. That existing signal is received by the antenna and sent over a cable to the Connect 4G amplifier, which boosts the signal and sends it over another cable to the inside panel antenna. The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal into your home or office, giving you a usable indoor cell signal.
The entire process also works in reverse, so you get a strong and reliable connection back to your carrier.
The weBoost Connect 4G also includes a flat cable in case you need to run the included RG6 cable from the outside antenna under a window, instead of drilling a hole in the building. A barrel connector is also included, in case you don't need the flat cable.
Recommended For
The weBoost Connect 4G is the ideal combination of affordability and performance. The amplifier is one step down from the most powerful that we offer and the price makes it affordable for most situations. It is an ideal solution for small to medium sized homes or multiple rooms in an office or other building. It is also a great choice for mobile homes, cabins, cottages, and any other structure that has a usable signal outside, but needs better signal inside.
The strength of your existing outside signal, measured in the location where you plan to mount the outside antenna, has a direct impact on the amount of inside coverage you'll get from a signal booster. The table below shows how much coverage you may get depending on your outside signal strength:
| Existing Outside Signal Strength | Estimated Inside Coverage |
|---|---|
| Strong (5 Bars) | Up to 5,000 sq ft |
| Medium (3-4 Bars) | Up to 3,500 sq ft |
| Weak (1-2 Bars) | Up to 1,000 sq ft |
| None (0 Bars) | No Coverage |
Please Note: It is important to remember that there are many factors that impact the size of the inside coverage area, so actual results may vary from these estimates.
Alternative Signal Booster Options
If you need more coverage than the weBoost Connect 4G will provide due to a weak outside signal, then the weBoost Connect 4G-X is going to be a better choice for you. It has a more powerful amplifier and higher grade cable to provide more inside coverage with the same strength outdoor signal. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information about either of these systems.
If you have a very strong outside signal, then the Wilson Pro 70 Plus is a better option, since it can handle a very strong outside signal without the amplifier getting overloaded and turning off, and it can turn that strong outside signal into a very large coverage area inside of the building.
If you need a more affordable option, then the weBoost Home 4G is going to be a good option. It will provide less coverage than the Connect 4G, but will still solve your cell phone reception problems in a smaller area.
Will this Work for my Phone and Carrier?
